Depending on which airport you arrive in Morocco, we will pick you up request by jeep, minibus or taxi. We cross impressive landscapes over the mighty Atlas Mountains and later follow the palm-fringed river until we reach Zagora, called the" Gateway to the Desert" (the famous Draa Valley). In Zagora you will stay in a hotel or riad. The next day you will meet your caravan leader with the camels or your driver Our guides have very good local knowledge from the nomad tribes as Sahauris, Nouajis and Tuareg, who grew up in the desert and have a great knowledge of the life and survival in the Sahara for one or more days Kameltrekking` with our calm and secure camels, each guest gets his own riding camel and join our pack camels, which will carry the luggage, tents and food. Our riding and pack camels are very peaceful and quiet animals, that are used to walk with us. If you wish, you can now enjoy riding through the countryside, or walk next to your dromedary in the soft sand. Discover the wonderful natural life of the desert, experience the warm hospitality of the inhabitants of the desert, and enjoy the vastness and beauty of the Moroccan Sahara. I am delighted to be accompanying you in the desert, and will be very happy to organize a tour program according to your own individual needs or choose from our suggested tours
The camel treks have a great love of nature as you walk with the animals for one or more days in the desert. We avoid the hustle and bustle and soon enjoy the uniform, smooth rhythm of the caravan. Between the walks and rocky plains and through beautiful dunes, your trusted companion will prepare an ample picnic under the shade of an acacia or a tamarisk tree. After the break, the walk continues until your companion reaches a beautiful spot (night stock,) to pitch our tents and our chef will prepare a typical Moroccan dinner around the campfire. The nights are spent in typical nomadic tents, or if you want to, under the unique starry sky of the Sahara! And again and again you will be pampered by your companions with the traditional mint tea, we can cater for 2 to 20 persons But if you are coming as a single individual we can offer trekking or jeep tour or you could also join a group you for a small fee also. To participate in the tours, you must by no means be an athlete - it requires a healthy physical condition. We offer gentle walks not a "race"
The best time to visit is from September to April because the climate is not as hot as during the other months. In the desert we stay in typical desert tents, or if you like, under a starry sky.
